Our solutions individually cut across a number of industries/sectors but can also be combined to deliver integrated business solutions in one or several industries/sectors.
Composite Products +
The inherent properties of composite materials make them ideal for manhole environments, but the materials are only part of the equation. Design features, application of engineering principals and methods of manufacture are critical to their performance as covers. The Secure Manhole Covers combine all of these factors into a ‘best of class’ composite system. Composite covers are based on a patented structural system which when combined with high quality composite materials create superior manhole covers. Composite covers have a very high strength to weight ratio and the design promotes easy moving after disengaging the locking mechanism. When removal/replacement is combined with our ‘ergonomic’ removal method they conform to Health and Safety lifting/removing recommendations and promote a much safer lifting regime.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Electrically Non-Conductive
A composite cover can have its electrical conductivity altered to suit a specific requirement. It can be made totally non-conductive for areas where electrical shock is to be negated or avoided or it can be highly conductive where static needs to be dissipated.
Resistance is 1 x 1013 ohms
Covers subjected to 80,000 volts retained their insulation properties
Non-Corrosive and Long Working Life
Composites as inert materials are perfect for manhole environments where destructive elements are continuous and unavoidable. Our composite covers will not corrode or cause corrosion when subjected to elements such as water, wind borne sand and salt - even at elevated temperatures. Will not corrode in difficult environments or cause corrosion in contact with non-compatible materials. It is Saline and/or sandy conditions do not reduce the structure’s working life. The Structure is unaffected in all expected working temperatures. Transparent to Radio Waves and Promotes Better Signal Strength Covers allow transmission of all frequencies used in Automatic Meter Reading. This helps promote better signal strength and negates lifting the cover to read the data.
High Skid/Slip Value
The surface material of composite covers has a better slip resistance value than any other commercially used material. Our composite covers have a co-efficient of friction value of not less than 0.7.
Low Surface Wear Characteristics
Hardness is the major factor in resisting frictional wear. Our composite covers have a tread pattern specifically designed for water dispersal which contains calcined bauxite - a hardened embedded material which measures 9 on the Mohs scale [Diamond is 10] - and is integrated into the resin during the manufacturing process.
Will not Crack, Break or Delaminate
The composite cover is robust and will not crack, warp, chip, swell, or expand. The stiff tensile structure resists all known forces on normal working conditions experienced on underground positions. Tensile stiffness is 4-6 times that of steel or aluminum.
Sealed and Prevent Contamination
A special sealing method creates a watertight, sand tight and airtight barrier. The position of the seal and the sealing action promotes self-cleaning.
Linear Arm Locking Mechanism
Our composite covers are supplied with a bevel geared linear arm locking mechanism which engages and disengages with an individually coded key/wrench. Our Gully Gratings are also made of composite materials and consist of the following benefits over the traditional iron or concrete covers include: - High Strength - Tested To Over 25t Wheel Load - Non-Metallic - No Scrap Value - No Repair Of Frames Required - Light Weight - Anti Corrosion - Anti-Uv - Low Noise Pollution - Substantial Whole Life Cost Savings
Minor Civil/Construction Works
As part of our post implementation service offering we also undertake minor civil/construction work to ensure all our installations continue to meet the highest possible structural standards.
Unique Manhole Cover Locks (Bolts) +
Our manhole locks prevent unauthorized access and provide protection against vandalism and tampering. The secret lies in the variable encoding groove, milled in the manhole screw’s top side so that it can be installed and removed only with the matching key. Our manhole locks consist of a special high-quality alloy hardened to about 58 HRC (Rockwell).
The threefold nickel and chrome coating verifiably prevents corrosion. Even road salt cannot affect the corrosion resistance of our manhole locks. In addition the encoding groove is protected against soiling with a screw-on plastic cap.
An additional security factor takes the form of an endless number of possible codes that on request can be protected exclusively such that only your authorized representative will be able to order access keys and our systems will ignore orders from unauthorized persons for your absolute security. Our manhole locks can be retrofitted on both concrete
and cast iron manhole covers.
Unique Car Wheel Locks +
Our wheel locks provide the highest level of protection against costly wheel and tyre theft. These unique wheel locks are equipped with the same characteristics as the standard wheel lock but can only be opened with the right key. The unique design of the keys offers a nearly unlimited number of patterns.
Cyberlock Access Control +
CyberLock is an innovative, robust electronic cylinder that easily converts mechanical locks into an easy to install access control system, with over 280 lock designs available. No wiring is needed, since power is provided by the battery in the key!
CyberLocks have no keyway and cannot be picked!
Each lock features:
Circuit Board with Processor
Unique ID
Encrypted System Code
Memory – 1,100 entries
Ability to disable lost keys
Options, such as time delay or dual access control
Recording of a wide variety of events
With no inner keyway, CyberLock cylinders are ideal for outdoor operations, preventing exposure to environmental pressures such as moisture, sand and dirt. For high security installations, drill resistant cylinders are available, such as used in the CEN6 padlocks. One Key... Many Locks...
At the heart of the CyberLock system is the highly intelligent CyberKey, which unlike traditional keys, cannot be duplicated. Each key is encoded with a unique ID, and carries a defined schedule for the key holder. The schedule highlights the locks the key holder can access, and the date and time to allow entry. In addition, CyberKeys can also be issued with a date to begin working, and a date to automatically expire, limiting the risk of a lost key!
A record of all events is stored in both the locks and the keys. The key stores up to 3,900 of the most recent access events, and the lock stores the most recent 1,100 access events. In addition, the key has a battery that is used to provide power and a clock chip that is used to keep and record time.
CyberKey Communicators
Communicators are used for communication between CyberKeys and the Management Software platforms. The communicators available depend upon the software installed and the requirements of the CyberLock installation.
Using CyberLock and its advanced management platform called Enterprise; you can program keys with your specific instructions and download their history from almost anywhere! This includes options such as local at the PC using a USB download station, across large geographic areas using a PIN Code Authoriser and remotely using a PDA or Blackberry.
Enterprise Management Software
Enterprise is comprehensive, feature-rich software ideal for large, widespread businesses. It has the benefit of being easy to administer and use – so that personnel can be trained easily in handling the various authorisation roles that may be necessary (such as contactor control, or issuing keys to new staff).
Enterprise comes packaged on an application server, allowing users to securely access the software from any computer on a local network or the Web. With Enterprise, a hierarchy of administrators can be set, allowing each manager in the organisation control over the locks, keys, and people in their area of responsibility. Enterprise supports a variety of methods for communication between keys and the software, including the use of PDA phone or Blackberry to program user keys in the field.
The Enterprise server provides significant capacity: systems of 15,000 locks, 15,000 keys, and 500 concurrent users can be easily managed within a single Enterprise server. Full specification details are available on request!
